I'm installing an air compressor on a 2007 GMC C5500, the compressor has a 12v signal wire that I need to connect to the upfitter connector tap up switch (cruise resume). My problem is the compressor gives me a 12v constant but the cruise wire is connected a latching relay. I need the 12v constant to give me 2 pulses @ 1 second intervals minimum. I did find a diagram for constant to momentary, but I need 2 more pulses when the signal stops to bring the throttle back down to an idle. Any ideas?

A 555 timer could be used.

This is a Break Flasher Circuit using the 555 timer
