I installed some newer style power mirrors on my truck and it appears the left/right adjustment motor is reversed compared to my original mirrors. When I try to adjust the mirror to the left, it moves right, when I try to adjust it to the right, it moves to the left. I'm stumped on how I can reverse this so that the mirror switch operates correctly.
Both sides have a yellow wire and 2 different colored wires each. Here's how one mirror's wire work with the switch:
Wire Colors: Y=Yellow P=Purple G=Green
UP: Y(-) P(+) G( )
DOWN: Y(+) P(-) G( )
LEFT: Y(-) P( ) G(+)
RIGHT: Y(+) P( ) G(-)
I've searched and have been unable to come up with a definative answer. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Can you get to the 2 wires that connect to the left/right motor? If so, you will need to reverse the wires there.

Not possible. The mirror is sealed and I don't want to risk breaking it by trying to pry it apart. I know someone who tried to do this very thing and broke the mirror into pieces trying to get at the motors.

Just in case anyone reads this and might be able to help out, here's the equation I need to solve:
If Y=(-) and G=(+) make Y=(+) and G=(-)
and
If Y=(+) and G=(-) make Y=(-) and G=(+)

Oh and just to clarify, the polarity can only be reversed when the Green (G) wire is either + or -. If it is neither then the polarity needs to stay the same.
