I've read a number of threads about this issue, but I still have a clarification request on this diagram...
Is the pink "Radio's Accessory Wire" lead in the diagram spliced into the car's 12v+ power to the radio - without cutting this wire? In other words, does the radio continue to get power from the vehicle's radio wire (when ignition "on") as well as this relay set-up?
And, as long as the vehicle's radio wire is only for the radio (no other accessories), a diode should not be required, correct? If other accessories (i.e. fan, etc.) remain on, then I would need a diode between the splice and the 12v+ source of the accessory wire.
Have I got this right? Any help would be appreciated - thanks.

You are correct about splicing this wire into the back of the radio, no need to cut, just splice inline of the accessory wire. Also, no need for the diode seeing that the radio accessory will turn off after the door is opened.

Thanks Man - I appreciate the quick response. I am hoping to get around to doing this this weekend...
