The dealership installed the Valet 561R on my 07 Hyundai VeraCruz. They told me I do not have the keyless entry whenever I use the auto-start. Can this be reconfigured!?!

I am still using the Hyundai remote. Press the 'lock' button twice to auto-start. Will have to manually unlock the car with key. And if I want to cancel the auto-start, I have to put the key in and turn ignition on/off.

Can someone help!?!

they prolly just added an optional starter. And the lock wire was wired to the starter trigger wire for 2 pulses to start the car. Im sure on ur car, when starter is active, keyless entry is disabled, noot allowing u to lock/unlock doors. u can only disable ur start if u stick in the key in the ignition and step on the brake.  If the key is not in the ignition and u step on the brake, the car will turn off. If key is present key will take over. should tell dealership to add a security alarm/start system.

So do you mean they did not actually install the Valet 561R remote start/keyless entry? I thought the valet 561R has keyless entry and remote start? Or did they just screw up?

the valet doesnt normally come with doorlock control. However, if can be hooked up. Do you have an actual switch that controls the doorlocks? A lot of hyundai's use the factory locking lever to activate the doorlocks... if this is the case, you need to add an actuator into the driver side door in order to get the locks to work properly. HTH.
