At the left column where you have the icons for Hot topic, closed topic, and sticky topic.  What about an icon for Problem Resolved.  The thread creator will be the only  one that can tag it resolved.   I think this will be helpful for those searching for a solution for a like problem. They will have better luck finding a solution.   If of course they would USE the search function.

Sounds good at first, but for it to work as you intend it to and for it to be a useful feature to all of our members, the OP would have to actually do it. Another problem I see is it could potentially encourage members to create a new topic for every little problem they have with an installation instead of continuing in their original topic for the same install in the same vehicle. It's hard enough now keeping new members from creating duplicate topics, not to mention keeping topics somewhat organized. It's nice when the OP states in a reply that their problem has been solved and thanks the members that have helped them, but it doesn't happen often enough to make me believe they will always click on a "problem solved button" when they should. Honestly, if I did implement it, it would require the moderators to stay on top of it, and they already donate enough of their time. Then of course we would have to go through the previous 82,000 plus topics to include them :|
