I am not seeing the different colors you mentioned on the topic you made.  Do I need to have Java enabled for that as well?  IE8 here.  I have not checked it in Firefox.  Could we make the arrow a different color?  The arrow that goes to the last post in the thread.

JavaScript  is not necessary to see the new colors. It sounds like you need to do a hard refresh or dump your browser's cache. In IE or Firefox, hold the "ctrl" key while hitting the "f5" key to force a refresh.  In Safari, hit the f5 key twice. Other browsers, try "f5"  with and without the "ctrl" key.

I had already tried F5, I just tried Ctrl F5, still the same.  I will try firefox.

Sounds like you need to dump your cache in IE if a hard refresh is not loading the updated style sheet.  All is good in 6 different browsers here.

No luck in Firefox either.

Are you using a proxy server?  Have you tried dumping your cache?  Are you doing a hard refresh on the last 100 topics page?

I did the F5 thing, which does appear to refresh. I then did CTRL + F5, it too appeared to refresh.

Is there some setting in the browser? I remember in the past that a viewed link would be purple in yahoo, non viewed links were blue. Even on Yahoo, now all links are blue. Firefox and IE.

No proxy server.

If they are all blue, click one, then return to it to see if it changed. If there is a new post in the topic since you last clicked the link, the link will be blue again.

BTW, if they are not changing, your browser is not loading the updated page. To fix this, you can change your browser's cache settings to check for a newer version everytime you visit the page.

The arrow now has a border that will change colors.

I am having trouble seeing that as well. Is it changing from blue to black? Is there a different color that may be more apparent? My eyes are not what they used to be.

I'll make the borders wider tomorrow for the "hard of seeing".

I can't read your last 2 posts.  The text is too small to see.  But I do like how the borders appear to be twice as wide as they were yesterday.  Thanks.

I like the colors and enhancements. (Except...)

I hate that left/right arrow navigate the tab NOT the text - ie, I cannot use arrows to repo the curser for corrections - I must backspace(delete) else mouse click, the arrows are a back or forward one page or similar.
And I cannot override my habits - I just did it again.

And again correcting habbits.

Firefox 3.6.13 with various tab addons. (Manually emptied cache)
Thank dog that firefox recovers back/fwd pages with the previously entered data!

Will check if it's an addon or "my" problem...
After cleaning with Your excellent "login problems" flusher.

Maybe I should have done that first.... but in case anyone else has this problem....

Oldspark, thanks for your input.  The arrow keys behave normal in the text area for IE, but not Firefox.  I'll check a few others browsers and will likely remove it for users using browsers that suffer from the issue until I can implement a proper fix.

Arrow key navigation has been removed from topic posts for all browsers other than IE.  It is still active in all browsers for forum topics and search results.

If you click a text link in the forums, it will change to the visited color and will not change again when a new post is made. The arrow border colors will change any time there is a new post. Since the arrows are links to the last post in a topic, it makes more sense this way. This is a better indicator of which topics you have already visited and which ones have new posts.

I really like the way the mouse over highlights the line on the Recent Topics page.

I'm with the best Idiot I know.
I like the mods in general - really good!
And thanks for fixing that non-IE back-arrow problem. (Do you think I could NOT use the arrow to go back over my reply text! Old dogs, new tricks...)

Now, if toolbar inserts (bold, URLs, images) could insert at the curser instead of instead of the end of the edit...
And could also block text and then select those toolbars to apply to that text only...
But I know that ca be difficult to do.

Though maybe including an underline for URLs - eg [URL=..../URL] might be easy? {PS - woops - I put [ u] & [ /u] (spaces omitted) at each end of the URL forgetting that that would be formatted... I should have disabled Forum Code formatting!}
That's something I do with my links so that they are more obvious. Otherwise one has to hover over them to make them apparent.
And sites that use color to emphasis URLs can have difficulties depending on screens or peoples color schemes.

But these are little trivialities only. The most important thing on this site is the content and organisation, and I have only praise for that!

Admin, do you have any idea why La. 22 has 2 West bound lanes and only 1 East bound lane?  Do they not expect the same people to have to come home at the end of the day?  Or vice versa.

Is there any way I can post a link in the downloads section without uploading a file?  Or maybe you can do it for me.  I would hate to have to download and post each file.

iaai, glad you like the colors. I have no idea what's goin' on with Hwy. 22. I'll check out the link in a bit.

oldspark, thanks. I'll see what I can do with input at cursor for browsers other than IE. I have a different/better editor in place for IE. It may be more to your liking.
