Ever think of adding a forum for the shop owners, or know of one ? I've been an installer/sales/manager for the last 10 years and recently opened my first shop. I'm always looking for input on ways to save $$, find new distributors, deal with employees, things like that. Maybe even a different log in just for owners, or a  buy in program if we all get together for a huge order or something. Who knows. . . . . .

Hi TrueSound, I can easily add a new forum as you described, but there's really no efficient way to verify that each member that wants to join it is truly a shop owner. As far as creating a buying group, in theory it may sound like a good idea, but realistically it wouldn't fly in this industry. Distribution of the top major electronic brands are limited, have protected territories, and require individual dealer agreements & contracts. For what's left, you can likely do just as well on your own. I realize this may sound discouraging, but you can always post your thoughts and questions regarding distributors & manufacturers, dealing with employees, etc. in our general discussion forum and I'm sure you'll get a good bit of feedback from other shop owners on this forum.
