Is there a way to open threads on the first page?  Everytime I click on a thread it automatically opens the last page of the thread.  I then have to go to the bottom of the page and click on the 1 to go to the first page.

Yes, you can from the main forum pages (example: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_topics.asp~FID~2 ) by clicking on the title of the topic.

OK, I guess I wasn't specific enough.

When I visit 'the12volt.com' I always go the the 'latest topics' area on the first page.  I see a thread that interest me, and I click on it. (ie - title - Shop owners and expediters - https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~94151~get~last)

I then start reading the top of the thread, until I realize I have no idea what the guy is talking about, because its the last page, not the first page.  I then go to the bottom and load the first page.

I have noticed its only these links, but they are all set up to 'get last', and not 'get first'.

The way I look at it, is if I wanted to 'get last' I would have been notified that of a post via Email, because I posted or subscribed to the thread the first time I read it.  Otherwise I would think it should be assumed that the reader has NOT read the thread yet, and should start at the beginning.  Rarely do I ever read a thread and then go back to it and read new posts IF I did not subscribe to it the first time I read it.  If I didn't have enough interest to subscribe the first time through it chances are I won't be reading the later responses.

Actually the links are set up to "get last" on all the latest topic pages including that section on the main forum page. Give me a few minutes to come up with something that will satisfy everyone.

In that section on the main page you will now have a link to the first page if the topic has more than one page.
