I have just bought a code alarm ca 670. I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. It already has remote door locks and a Panic button. I am not sure if it has an alarm or even if the panic button works. I have never heard them.

Do i need a bypass. I know that similar cars need a bypass you stick a key into but I heard they make one that you do not need a key.

What do I need to get this installed. Are there more than one option for bypasses.

Thank you

Circuit Nikki

That car should have a factory alarm. If you use the factory remote and a red LED on the top center of the dash begins flashing, then it has an alarm. You need a transponder bypass kit for Passkey III. YOu can either use a spare key in a universal style kit or another kit which duplicates the key such as a PKU-GM module from bypasskit.com.

That link that the12volt gave you gives you all kinds of info. Go down to the immobilizer bypass section and it lists 5 or 6 different bypasses you can use.

what is the bypass i can use that does not require the key and that will get pass the security settings do i need two or will; will CAXK01AMDL be enough. I want to make sure i get the right parts, i live in a little town and people do not know much. I do not want to get taken for; an auto place says i need one unit and another says i need two. I used to install at circuit city, but i did only 10 remote starts. I still am unfamiliar with all of the hardware required what is the preferred bypass to use for the (code alarm) ca 670?

My listings only show the PKU-GM or use a universal unit that incorporates an extra key in a box. I don't believe the XK01 AMDL works on that car.
