I have a new 2008 Chrysler 300. I have purchased the Viper 791XV security system with remote start. I cannot for the life of me find the wiring diagram for this vehicle. I last installed the same system in a 2006 Chrysler 300. It appears to me that the wires are quite different.  Any help would be appreciated.

It will be like the new Caravan where you have to go into the key cylinder and take it apart and solder on points at the ignition column.

On one hand I really appreciate the help. On the other hand, it is not much of some help. What am I to do with this information? The forum is for wiring information requests. I think others have not taken the time to respond since it shows that someone already has. Thanks, but what help are you really providing?

What Mr. Jeff is trying to tell you is this is not an easy job, and would require an experienced installer, someone who would have access to the wiring info needed.  The guys on this site will help you regardless of number of posts, most are "good" guys and will share any info they have.  Mind you, there seems to be some attitude in your response, and once you have been on this site for a while, you'll appreciate his input.  If someone can answer they will.

I look forward to the day that I'm offered help without making judgment calls as to my capability to perform the task at hand. How in the world would you or anyone out there know what past experience I may or may not have. Or for that matter, how difficult a particular job may be for anyone other than yourself. How about doing what this group is suppose to do - help out those that request it. If you don't want to do that, then don't, but don't waste my time by giving just enough information to peak an intrest but withhold the essential details that would allow one to actually make some informed decisions as to performing the task at hand. If you are getting off by thinking you are helping, your wrong. It just makes us once again not appreciate the professionals out there that do not really want to give up the information they have upstairs for fear that the uninformed may be able to perform the task. Let's stop saying we want to help and actually help!  Thanks for nothing.
