94 metro charging w/ amp

I have a 1994 geo metro w/ the 1.0 3cyl motor and the highest alt i can find is a 55 amp and I'm about to install my system in it but worried about it only being a 55 amp charge from the alt. I'll be installing 1 vr 401 crossfire 400watt rms mono amp, 2 12" pioneer subs, (running at 2 ohms) and a 1 Farad capacitor. I plan to do the "big 3" upgrade too btw. Am I going to have probs w/ the battery staying charged w/ only having a 55 amp charging system on the car?

nah your battery should be fine as long as your not playing the system when the car isnt running.  Your altinator on the other hand might have some problems. Keep an eye on your lights in your car if dimming is normal even with a cap but if they start getting really bright is when its a bad sign. an aftermarket battery such as a optima would prbly help a lot to i have two of them in my car helped a lot

thanks i should be done rebuilding the motor this week so w/ some luck ill be installing the system this week-end
