Hi all,

Just a quick question. Ive wired up my car alarm (hawk 260RS). Ive only got the engine start bit remaining. Done the wiring for all the engine start but havent connect the two green wires from the relay. In my diagram it says to connect to a high voltage coil. Just wondering could i connect this to my ignition wire? If i cut the wire and bridge the connection should that be ok?

Ive been told i can connect it to my ignition coil and fuel pump but am unsure on what wire to cut! so im thinking the ignition wire should suffice, but i dont want to cut it until im sure.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. (this is the link to the wiring diagram of the alarm...https://www.comm-elec.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/HA-260RS%20Installer's%20manual.pdf)

Thanks

That wire should be connected to the cut "start" wire, not the ignition. Also make sure that you cut it in between the ignition switch and the starter output from the r/s.
