All my databases show the VSS to be a GREEN/ YELLOW behind the fuse box on the drivers side underdash, (Astro chart shows the exact plug and pin location) yet that pin is empty on this plug.... anyone else have an alternate source for VSS on the above vehicle?

I have run into this same problem when installing a cruise control on these vehicles. I had to install a magnetic speed sensor on the front drive shaft output to get a VSS signal. It isn't a difficult install and can be done with the vehicle sitting on the ground.

have you tried to inset a pin into the location and read the signal? if there is no usabel signal Than the VSS is in CAN BUS and there are a couple of options for modules for it.
