97 nissan hardbody wiring

I am trying to install an aftermarket Sony stereo, but the wiring colors from this site don't match what I see in my vehicle.  I have the following as loose wires: Blk, Blk/Wht, Pink/Blk, Pink/Blue, Bwn, Bwn/Wht, Grn/Wht, R/Grn.  In an old harness, I have: Grn, Grn/Blk, Gray, Gray/R.

The speakers are also new and installed by me with new speaker wire.  The stereo is a Sony CDX-GT07.  I hooked up the Grn/Wht wire as the 12V+ constant and the R/Grn as the 12V+ Acc.  The cd player gets power in that it will accept and eject discs, but I get nothing on the display and no sound at all.  There is no amp and no rear speakers, so I figured this to be a relatively simple install, but I am obviously at an impasse.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as this is my first install.
