Hello all,

A fellow installer at our shop was having trouble getting a remote start/keyless entry unit to work on a 2004 Mazda MPV van. Problem was we could not figure out how to integrate to the sliding doors. The switch appears to be multi-plexed as we could see resistors inside. We have access to both installogy as well as techservices.audiovox, but neither site has any info on the sliders. I think installogy had a note about it, but none of the wires mentioned in the note were located on the back of the switches, and no other location was given.

Since there is no wiring listed for the 04 Mazda MPV van on here i would like to formally request the entire diagram as well and the sliding door info if anyone has any ideas.

OK well that above info did NOT work on the 04 we had. I got (un)lucky enough to get stuck with this bad boy as a waiter at 5pm lol Anyways what i ended up doing what taking the switch apart to see exactly how it operated. Apparently the rocker switch slides along a circuit board making contact between 2 points in either direction. I could not for the life of me figure out how to do this outside of the switch, tho i am sure there is a way. I just decided to modify the switch and solder the wires directly to the contacts on the PCB and use relays to simulate the switch making contact. This rough diagram should help elaborate a little bit.

This is the inside of the switch and how the PCB is laid out. The X's are where i soldered the wires. Take note that this is very risky, and specifically keep in mind your connections must be near the top or bottom to allow the internal parts to still move freely. Be careful when taking the switch apart as well the contacts have a small detent ball and spring to maintain pressure. DO NOT lose them! lol

I also ended up using 4 relays to simply make contact because putting ground and also resistance did nothing. Basically like i said i just simulated making contact the way the switches do. Also you may want to have some dielectric grease handy as you will need to clean the PCB before soldering, and not having grease inside will cause the switches to stick.
