I installed the alarm portion of a galaxy 5000rs remote start/alarm combo and after putting everything back together, my odometer, tripmeter, clock, etc... quit working. I've looked to see if any fuses were blown but found none. I also unhooked the battery in an attempt to reset the system, also no luck. Can anyone help me figure this out, Please? I don't know if it might be a relay or what, but I don't remember messing with any gauge wires or computer wires. Just door lock, doom light, door triggers, ignition, starter, accessory and so forth.

Did you remove the cluster to install the led? Did you possibly unplug a harness from the rear of the cluster while connecting wires at the keyswitch? You mentioned an accessory wire, did you cut and splice it, possibly a bad connection there?

the only things I unplugged were a cluster of wires at the fuse box under the dash and a small cluster at the factory keyless module. I used wire taps for all other connections. I did cut the starter wire as shown in the instruction manual to relay the starter defeat/ anti grind. I used to heat shrink tube to seal off all of the wires in the 20-pin harness that I decided weren't necessary: tach wire, negative and positive door trigger wires(until I can buy some diodes to isolate), glow plug/emergency brake wire, horn output wire, parking light wire(only because I could not get it to work with or without #775 relay), etc.... I didn't unplug any harness' at ignition or gauges. The first time I check fuses and unhooked battery the digital display came back on but everything was scrambled. So unhooked and rehooked battery and checked fuses again. Then it quit working again. ------------- sign guy
