can any one help please I have had a ford f150 1998 brought to me with the battery going flat over night i have found that the drain comes from fuse 15 in the fuse box but as we have not got any information with the vehicle we dont know what runs of this fuse I know the interior lights are but is there any thing else or as anyone any ideas please many thanks BJ

On a lot of vehicles the dome light circuit is also the constant power for the radio.

I would do this:

Remove fuse 15

Charge the battery up

Start the vehicle and try EVERY electronic function of the vehicle and note any that arn't working (for the radio make sure the presets and clock are being kept, if they arn't then the fuse you pulled is the memory for the radio).

Only after you identify everything that is on the fuse can you start eliminating items one by one to figure out where the problem is.

It would also be benficial to see how much current is being drawn by that circuit, as it may give a clue as to what the device is.

KP is right but I can't see a dome light unless there are about 5 bulbs pulling down a battery overnight. I'd look for something else or suspect battery/alternator or both. Done any testing? e.g. set a multimeter to 10 amps , pull the fuse, see which side is still hot, place pos meter lead ther and neg other side and close car and lock up. Check the current ratings, shouldn't be more that 40-60 milliamps.
