I am about to install a AVH-P4100DVD and would like to bypass the DVD. I need the location of the green wire for the emergency brake switch. I know that I can access this wire at the switch. Is there another location this wire can be accessed? Thanks. Mike

The only alternative would be the cable to the warning light on the instrument panel but then only if it isn't data.

Sorry, it's also probably going to be in one of the kick-panels, probably driver's but you would have to test. There's a third alternative unfortunately, I can think of one vehicle where it goes through the centre of the console and joins the main loom there, really your best bet is the parking brake switch, I've always found it there when doing R/S in manual trannie vehicles.

Sorry again, why not just ground the green as most people do and just throw an on-off switch into it, then you've got the best of all worlds. Or getting silly now, green to relay 30, ground to 85, ign (not ACC) to 86 and ground to 87a. weigh the cost and time to install the relay against finding the park brake wire.

I like the relay idea. I may trigger the relay with the amp turn on wire.
