i have an 2006 honda civic and am trying to wire the power locks to work with my alarm.  what type of door locking system do these have??  neg.?  3 wire?  5 wire??  is there anything special about this cars door locking system?  i put an alarm with out door locks on an 2008 and the alarm was going off for no reason.  i ended up taking the alarm out.

All the info you need is on this site at vehicle wiring. Why would an alarm trigger when you hadn't connected the door locks?  Has to be another reason like interior lights not shutting down because the doors haven't been locked by the alarm.

actually the customer complained that the alarm was triggering with no one around, after the alarm was set  for a few hours. i turned the impact sensor down all the way to make sure sensor wasnt the problem.  i didnt know if there was some type of drop in current, wire alarm to battery.  the alarm never went off at my shop.  but customer complained, so we pulled it.  do you know if the 06 honda civic is a 5 wire neg???  or can i just tap into the wires right from alarm?  thanks  Raul

What's a 5 wire neg? There's no such creature. Green or Blue and Grey on a white plug at rear of fuebox, or a plug in the driver's kickwell, low current  2 wire neg locking if your alarm only has 2 lock output wires diode them.
