Ok so I thought one of my family members could wire my new head unit up.. but he just cut up wires and ruined it. So far i have the front 2 speakers working. I have tried the diagram on previous topics and no sound comes out of the speakers. Right now the way its hooked up is..

Head Unit Vehicle Wires
1. Yellow and red wired to BLACK / YELLOW
2. (+) Green wired to Brown and green
3. (-) Green wired to blue.

and somehow i have 2 speakers working??
Also when i turn of my car everything that i programed into the head unit is erased. PLZ HELP!!!

How many speakers are in the truck? is it just 4? or a 6 speakers setup.

Also, is it a premium sound system?
I think that you have a factory amplifier in the truck,

so....

Its going to get complicated....So easiest is to rewire from your stereo to each one of the speakers.

The reason your unit is not retaining memory is because the "yellow" wire is not to a constant 12V from the battery. You probably have it together with the red wire don't cha?

do u have a test light?
You may have blow some fuses when cutting wires.

Sorry i am a little new to all this but thanks.
Yea, it has 4 speakers
I don't know what you mean by premium sound system.sorry

and ya my Yellow wire of my Head Unit is connected to the red one. but thats the only way i can get it to turn on. Is there another way? and what wire does the red and yellow connect to within the truck?

The yellow wire of the radio connects to the wire labeled battery in my earlier post.  The red wire of the radio is connected to the correct wire of the truck.

"premium sound" means that it has a factory amplifier.
Does it have any EMBLEMS other than "FORD" on the inside? On the main unit itself (the factory one), the speaker covers on the doors, or the dash board? Maybe "infinity" or "BOSE" or "MACH" or something of that sort.
1.The Yellow wire from the stereo should be on the Light GREEN/ YELLOW of the factory harness. (12V always)
2.The Red wire form the stereo should be on the yellow/black of the factory harness. (12V switch when the key is on)

Judging by the wire colors he listed for speakers, he does have the premium system.  Those wire colors were not present on the listing for the standard audio system.

...good point.
In that case...

Is there any way you can post a pic of what the harness looks like? The one that was cut off i meant. I want to see what it looks like so I can aid you using the adapters I have.
