24 pin plug of standard CD/mp3 radio / 2007 Eddie Bauer

Does anyone know the function of the two unknown cables?
What about dimmer and speed signal? I'm not sure.

For the new radio unit with naviagtion I need a speed signal.
If would be perfect if one of these cables were the speed signal.

I have the pinout of the 2006 radio unit, but it doesn't show the both cables.

You could test, the dimmer is obvious, but you can set your meter for speed pulse, 20vAC, will react when you do over 3-5 mph.

Pin 18 VME14 (GY-YE) 22 SWITCH - REDUNDANT AUDIO

Pin 19 RME24 (BU-WH) 22 CTRL MOD. - AUDIO - SWITCH REDUNDANT AUDIO

Not sure what these are for, maybe for rear entertainment output signals.

hi,

steering wheel controls... headunit provides reference ground, control buttons send different resistances back to headunit.  speed sense (vss) would be next to start (brown) above accessory (GREEN / WHITE).  dimmer would be to the left of accessory.

Thank you for your answers!

As you can see at the image, pin 19 is not blue/white (BU-WH).
The car also doesn't have an entertainment system, cd-changer, steering wheel controls or subwoofer. But the radio has the speed volume feature. So in my opinion anyhow it has to get a speed signal from anywhere.

If you are looking for a speed signal, then go to the yellow/orange cable at the upper PCM plug at pin 3.
It comes from the Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor. From there you will get the speed signal for navigation.
