I am trying to locate a 12 volt wire to use a 18-22 gauge T tap to power my illuminated door sills. I have a 2005 Infiniti QX56 2 wheel drive. I would like to tap into the wire right under the front kick plate so that I do not have to go behind the dash where my fuse box is. So hopefully someone knows the colors to the wires and their functions, that would be awesome.

I take it you are wanting the lights to light up only when the door is open.  Is this correct?

Yes that is correct. Can you help me out my friend?

You will need to connect the lights to a constant 12V source, and connect the ground wires of the lamps to the appropriate wires in Tommy's post.  The wires listed in his post may also be available in the kick panel.    The wires are labeled latch.  There is one for each door.
