I checked your info and a Gray/Black is not in the 50 pin connector but a RED / yelow for gas motor.

Rostra's tech site is also wrong...any ideas?

AT ABS CONTROL MODULE- ALSO AT WIPER MOTOR

Ford E-series vans have a pigtail in the wire harness tucked beneath the drip rail
in the engine compartment. There's a marked speed wire there - grey/black, 8000ppm

I did find wires under the drip rail on the right side of the engine bay....

a gray/black that is marked : AFT STD is this the wire ?
