Are you trying to install an aftermarket radio, or are you trying to install a Line Out Converter?

Trying to install an aftermarket stereo. A Pioneer, if that makes any difference. ------------- Joe

My thoughts are the same as Tommy's. Except I was not going to give you the info so you could hack the plug off of the car. Why not purchase the harness for 15 dollars?

My wife had somebody already hack into it and now I have to fix it. Thanks for the replies. What does the illumination wire (pink) connect to? The blue one on the Pioneer? Everything is working except the preset memory, and the backlight. Would that be cleared up by connecting the pink to the blue? ------------- Joe

Not all aftermarket radios have an illumination wire. If it does have one it will be ORANGE / white in color.. The blue wire of the Pioneer is the power antenna wire. It is to be connected to the Grey/Orange of the vehicle. If the Pioneer has a blue/white wire, it is to be connected to the GREEN/ Orange wire of the car. If the Pioneer has no blue/white wire, then you need to connect the Blue wire to both the GREEN/ Orange and the Grey/Orange of the vehicle.

Connect the red wire of the car to the yellow wire of the radio. If connecting it that way makes the radio not come on, there is a blown fuse in one of the fuseboxes.

Cool, thanks. I'll try that next weekend. I've already got it all buttoned up, tools put away. Friggen brother in laws... ------------- Joe

You could buy a reverse harness and re-wire factory harness back up and then buy an 70-7301 and wire it up like it should...Are all factory warranties expired on the car...?

I guess I could do that. All the warranties are expired now. ------------- Joe

Well, thanks for the help everybody, I had it all sorted out a while ago, but I just got back on here today. The new stereo ROCKS! The aux input is a welcome bonus too. Thanks again! ------------- Joe
