I need to know if this truck has Passlock II on it or not. I can't seem to find out anywhere. If it does, which is the correct DEI bypass module that I need?

Is there a blister at the base of the Key?    If so, it is a resistor, measure the resistance with an Ohm meter.  You have to install a like value resistor, on the wires at the ignition switch.  I have no idea what color wires they are, maybe some of our Hands-On guys can help you with that part of it.

Nope, it's not VATS. There is no resistor in the key. It looks like it has Passlock II according to the chart you just gave me. That's what I needed to know. I just wanted to confirm which security system it has and which DEI module I need. I think it's the 555L.

Also, does anyone know how to hook up a DEI remote start system to the neutral safety switch? And where is the switch located?

Is it a manual transmission?

Nope, it's an automatic.

Okay, I got everything hooked up now but can't find the brake switch. I don't see a white wire anywhere nearby and I don't see any type of switch on the brake pedal. Can anyone help me locate this thing?!

Some Chevy trucks have the switch mounted to the brake pedal.  The entire switch and harness moves when you press the brake.  I think that there about 6 wires on the harness.   Press the brake and look for a moving bundle of wires.

You were right, it is in a bundle of wires. It's buried in the dash though...no way to get to it. I'm going to have to try and trace the wire and see if it runs through a spot that I can get to. Thanks for the help.
