Can anybody tell me where I can purchase wire-to-wire connectors that will mate with those of the wiring harness in a 2008 toyota matrix? Toyota dealer will sell complete sub-assembly, but I just want the white rectangular connector (and the 6 internal pins). I'm guessing Toyota buys them from an automotive electrics manufacturer, but I can't see any identification on the parts to indicate which one.

To conect what to what? There are a LOT of harnesses on your car! -------------

It's either AMP (tycho) or Molex. Good luck, do you have any idea how many different connector shape terminals there are on a car? Plus the waterproof types?

Thank-you very much KartuneMan and Howie II for your replies. Yes, I am aware that there are a lot of connectors. The Toyota Wire Harness Repair Manual (1991-2005) has nearly 240 pages of connector pictures, including waterproof, and gold plated pin versions. In appendix G it makes reference to a "wire harness repair kit, but adds, "This kind of kit is not available from Toyota Motor Corporation". And I didn't spot any suggestion of where it might be purchased. Do either of you two happen to know?
I have also referenced the 2003 Toyota Matrix Wiring Manual, showing many connectors, but again, I did not spot any references to the source of those individual connectors. (Not that I would expect to do so in a manual produced by the car manufacturer.) Hence my question to you knowledgeable folks.
Yes, my question was generic in that I didn't identify a particular connector on the car. My motivation is that rather than make any 'permanent' changes to the stock wiring, I like the idea of making my changes in 'external' wires and just 'plugging' my changes in at some convenient spot where there already is a wire-to-wire connector. It then becomes trivial to 'undo' any wiring change I have made by simply 'unplugging' my connectors and rejoining the 'stock' connectors. But to give a specific example, the Matrix Wiring Manual references a junction connector near the left rear tail light J8(A) and J8(B) I believe. Does anyone know who manufactured that connector or suggest where I can buy it?
Thanks again for your help.
