My Pioneer AVIC D3(BT) navigation system is removed from the car. I bought a Pioneer AVIC F910BT. The unit is installed in the 2 DIN area of the dashboard of the car.
I need a wiring diagram and location description (where to find the connections) in the KIA Sportage 2007 (generation 2004-2008).
1/ Speedpulse
I need speedpulse wire to the navigation system. ROSE wire of Pioneer. This wire was installed for previous navigation system, however there is no speed pulse. I measure when halted/stopped and riding very slowly no changing speed pulse but a constant 6,21 V. Because of this the Pioneer F910BT is not as accurate as what the unit should be. I expect something on ETACS-unit or Clock_unit, what type of KIA wire (color schema) provides this puls signal? Where can I find it. The car has been repaired after the removal and the rose wire of the Pioneer worked with the needed speedpulse on the previously installed navigation system.
2/. Backward riding signal
This navigation system can also handle a ride backwards signal. I do not know or the KIA has this signal wire in its repertoire and where I can find or locate it. What is the color of the KIA wire and on which locations can I find it. If not present on the KIA, can I connect a wire violet/white of Pioneer the the back-riding light. When this is on, the car drives backwards. Is there some schematics and diagram available for making this connection from the back to the front cabin part of the car.
3. The keycontact lock has the states OFF ACC ON and START. When the navigation system is connected to the ACC for permanent 12V and to ON for switched 12V then the voltage on ACC will drop to zero for a short time when starting the engine. The ACC voltage is coming back then. This ACC voltage drop can cause the navigation unit to be disrupted in the startup sequence when starting the engine of the car. Is there some wiring diagram / schema which can prevent this to happen. The most recent location in the navigation system can be lost, is no precautions are taken.

My data tells me it's a GREEN/ orange, either centre plug, ETACS unit behind radio, or GREEN/ orange on lead to instrument cluster. This is for 04 onwards.
If in doubt do the following, remove cluster, look behind, if you have a flexible printed circut board on the rear of the cluster, the speedo rear should have 3 connections. With ignition on one will measure 12.5V+, the second will go to ground (earth/mass) and the third wil be the one you want.
Backward riding signal = back-up in American English and reverse in UK English, normally only required when installing a rear view camera, but, if required do the following.
A) If the vehicle is auto, go to base of gearshift, there should be a connector plug coming from the gearshift area. With ignition on, move gearshift to reverse, NOTE: Ignition on NOT engine run. One of those wires wil go to 12V+. That's the one. Alternatively if you have an instrument cluster display showing gearshift positions, like Mits and Honda show, go to rear of inst. cluster and test in same fashion.
B) If manual, again with ignition on but not engine, go to rear and pick up the loom which feeds the reversing (back-up) light. Shift into reverse and see which wire goes to 12v+. Note the colour then trace back to the front where it will be in one of the kick panels. Pick it up there. This method obviously also works for autos.
Your unit is wired wrong! Yellow on unit to CONSTANT (PERMANENT)12v+ Red on unit to ACC 12v+ NOT IGN. ACC will dump when the key is turned to start position and you will loose all radio station memories and nav settings unless you connect the yellow wire to a permanent feed.
Just discovered:- Pioneer Permanent = Yellow. Kia Permanent = Red
Pioneer ACC = Red. Kia ACC = Yellow Whoever did the original install was naughty or just incompetent and broke the first rule of installation. CHECK!
Test and and refer to my other post! Then change those leads where necc.

I found the speedpulse of the KIA. It was a bad connection, caused by the unfriendly removal of my navigation equipment.
In the KIA I use a KIAtoISO adapter. The RED of the ISO is the RED for the Pioneer, the YEL of the ISO is the YEL of tne Pioneer. I did not check for a cross connection of RED to YEL en YEL to RED. On te Pioneer nav. unit there is a ISO connector A+B that connects to the ISO connector of the KIAtoISO adapter cable.
I will check for the reversing backup light wire. If it is to difficult, I can make a fused/resistance connection from the backlight to the dashbord and connect to the nav. unit.
You wont need a resistance.
