Hi, I'm looking for a speedo signal on a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 AWD (Manual Transmission, M66). I have the full factory wiring diagram, but there's nothing on how vehicle speed gets to the DIM (Driver Information Module, i.e. gauge cluster). The Automatic Transmission has an input/output speed sensor, but the MT does not. If possible, I'd like to avoid tapping an ABS signal. Thanks!

Thanks tommy, according to the wiring diagram that's an ABS wire.

But if that's what the tech sheet says that is probably the only one. That sucks, I hate messing with the ABS system...

Then use a CAN adaptor unit, it's safer. All the instrument panel feeds are CAN data, don't touch them. I've just looked at a European data source and it says CAN high and low only
