Trying to put new stereo in this pick up.  Nobody in town had a wiring harness to convert from stock to the Pioneer premium stereo I bought.  We cut off the OEM plug and now have all sorts of haywire stuff going on.  Does anybody have a wiring diagram for stereo wiring of this pick up?  Just cutting that plug off has given me ABS light, E brake Light, keyless entry wont work, doors will not lock etc.

Never cut the  harness...Which audio system do you have...?

2004-2005 Dodge Ram

Power / Amplifier

Bypass Harness

These harnesses are designed to be used with

the 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 or the 2004 Dodge

Ram with the amplified Infinity sound system and

the handsfree capable system. To determine if

you have the handsfree capable system, look on

the rear view mirror for a telephone symbol. If

there is a telephone symbol, you have the

handsfree system, if not please refer to the 70-

6512, 2002-04 Dodge Ram power/amp bypass

harnesses. A power harness is supplied to allow

the user to wire up the aftermarket radio without

the need to purchase any other harnesses

If your is different...Which i assume it is...You need to look at the amp bypass harness...When you cut the harness...did you cut each wire independently...or cut several together at a time...What was your thought process...Nobody has a harness...I know ill cut the harness off and start touching stuff...Anyhow...Maybe re-attach the harness...Plug the factory radio back in and see what you get...Maybe even take the battery terminal loose while wiring up the harness...

There is only two choices for that year Dodge. The amplified and the non-amplified systems. The Infinity amplifier is located up high behind the glove box. You will need to pull down the glove box and look high up towards the windshield and you will see a silver heatsink with two plugs of wires going into it. If you see this , then you will need the Metra bypass harness, otherwise cutting the harness that you did should not have given you all the dummy lights. The OEM keyless entry does not pass through the stereo as well as the ABS and parkbrake indicator. These lights are usually common problems with the 2nd ACC or IGN not being powered up.......... so what I would do is check the fuses in the engine bay and also the ones inside the cab. Refer to your owner's manual if your now sure where they are.
