need wiring diagram using dlpkgm and viper 5901 on 2005 chevy 2500hd. was told not all wires need to be connected with use of dlpkgm and d2d. would like clarification of what wires are and are not necessary to connect for both dlpkgm and viper 5901.

If using the D2D cable, all you should need regarding the DLPKGM and the Viper 5901 is:

From the DLPKGM to the car - the purple wire to Pin 2 of the OBDII plug and the pink wire to the ignition wire.

From the DLPKGM to the Viper 5901 - connect the tach output of the DLPKGM (violet/white wire) to the tach wire of the Viper 5901. And of course attach the D2D cable.

That's it. The DLPKGM manual can be found herehere. Your truck uses connection option #2.

Great info - understood completely.  With dlpkgm now correctly connected to vehicle and D2D port on 5901, do I stll need to connect every wire on the 5901 unit?  Some wires on 5901 are for auxiallary outputs, flex relay, OEM arm/disarm. When using the dlpkgm am I still required  to make a connection from the 5901 for the door trigger, dome light etc?? Looking for specific info on what wires I need to connect and which ones I dont on 5901. Thanks

was testing the trunk wire and the trunk triggered as I was testing the wire was using a DMM and was grounded that's normal right? same happened with the headlights they were activated when testing them by simply probing the wires!
