trying to install a viper 160vx remote starter and pkfm(xk04)to a 2006 ford taurus. first is it ok to wire the tach wire to the odd color wire on fuel injector. i'm using a dmm to test wire but only get 1 or so volts that doesn't change when i rev motor. second the xk04 doesn't seem to be programming, the light blinks once every 3 to 3 second and never changes. car starts right up if i put key in ignition. I've tried switching around on the pats with no luck. been trying to program this for 3 days now and i got one heck of a headache . So if anyone can help please do.Thanks posted_image

The uncommon injector wire is what Audiovox has listed for tach.

Yes, but set your tach to low.

As for the XK04.
Plug it in,
key 1- on till security light goes out
key 2- on till security light goes out
then remote start it.
simple

You have 2 factory keys right?

I don't know if their factory or not but they both work. one came with car, the ford dealer made me the other.Thanks for the reply!
