I am looking for the directwire information for a 2004 GMC Savana. I am installing this older Viper 560xv Alarm/Start this weekend, I hope.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I found some info on a 2005 GMC Savana, is it the same?  The door trigger is confusing. I have a driver door, passenger door, driver and passenger side split walk thru doors and the 2 rear doors. How would all these be hooked up

Thanks

The 04 & 05 are the same. The door triggers have to be diode isolated so that they do not backfedd into each other. Have the cathode band facing the alarm on each trigger.

Should this be done at each door switch (RF,LF,RR,LR, and the doors in the very back)? So I need 5 diodes, right? What size diodes do I need?

Or, am I putting the diodes on the wires coming from the alarm to the BCM? Which would be 3 or 4 diodes? One for RF, one for LF, one for RR & LR becuase they both share the same wire, right? What about the rear doors in the very back, do they get their own diode or are they sharing with the RR and LR wire also?

I am trying to locate a lighting diagram to see if the far back doors share the same wire or not?

Also, I have two bypasses on hand, a DEI 555L and a Directed Electronics GMBP bypass kit. Which one would be the best one to use?

Thanks again for your help.

The Viper560xv is installed, but I have a few questions if someone can help. I ended up using the Directed Electronics GMBP bypass kit.Domelight supervision isn't working.

1. With the diode isolation, isn't  the band facing the alarm for positive door triggers?  My van is negative door triggers,so should the bands be towards the trigger?

2. The domelight supervision wire is a  BLACK/ white negitive 200mA on this Viper560xv. According to the hookup wire chart above I use the gray/black at the BCm black plug pin E. The chart says this is a positive pin. Do these wires get connected or do they need a relay? If so, how is the relay connected. What would happen if they were connected?  Would it burn the whole module or just that domelight circuit?

3.Can or is it possible for me to program the fob to remote start with the lock and unlock buttons instead of pushing the start button twice? My other Vipers I use those two bottons and would like this one to be the same. Right now it's set to timer start, which makes it a pain because I am used to pressing them on my other alarms.

Thanks in advance

Any ideas on these questions? I am stumped on these and don't want to mess anything up. Thanks

I don't know anything about DEI stuff so someone else will have to help you with that. Question number 2 the dome light supervision thing, you will need to use a relay. I could tell you how but, it would be easier to show you the link right here at the 12  volt. Let us know how it goes
