I have a 2000 Chevy Impala LS, and I'm having problems installing my remote start. The alarm type is a ScyTek Astra 4000rs Series.

The lights will flash and the dash will come on but the starter will not start... I'm like soooo lost because with the test light I get a reading say everything is right but when its time to crank I get nothing... So please Help I've been at this for two days

Is there a security light on your dashboard? If so you'll need a by-pass. Don't ask me what type, the only Impalas I ever see are on the telly!

What value did you come up with for the resistor?  The resistor will not keep it from trying to start, but it I was just curious.

Didn't know I need a resistor, if I do where and how would I find out which do I need???

And when the car tries to crank no security light comes on. So thats why I'm super lost

You will need to do some research on the Passlock II anti theft system.  I am sure that there is info on this site that will lead you in the right direction.
