that says it all. I thought it would but after much reading it appears not? What is my easiest method of bypassing antitheft on a 2001 Grand Prix GT?

Thyere are many bypass kits that will work from several manufactures. The 555L is used primarily for passlock II which the chip is in the lock cyl and depends on movement. The 2001 Grand Prix uses PassKey III technology which incorporates a chip directly inthe key it self. The IB-posted_image GMBP from Omega will work and also:      XK05 - Programmable Platform #05: Transponder Override Interface
Firmware: PKG3 1.00
