Measure each with the engine running and a DMM set to 20volts AC
Your reading should be 2.5 to 8volts AC depending on revving up the engine.

This unit will only switch off the starter relay after receiving a 12 volt starting signal, does not work off the tach wire

Then I suggest you don't use it. Any unit not using tach sensing is going to be unreliable rubbish. The voice of bitter experience.

Howie: Im going to take your advice. It was made in  Europe or the laungage in the directions would indicate that is was.I think It works off the oil pressure switch. I was trying to save a few bucks. Live and learn. (A pig with a bow tie is still a pig) I Think my next stept is to go to ( i data link ) and ask for advice.    thank you

Bet it was China, I can't think of any Euro manufacturer that makes remote starts! Any way all the "UK Branded" alarms come from the same factory that makes DEI!
