I'm trying to help a buddy install a Clarion HU in his '02 Silverado. Stock stereo is a CD player w/ auto-speed-controlled-volume or whatever the technical term is, and a cassette slave drive. I've scoured google for a couple hours, and searched here...Seems no one's ever done an aftermarket install in an '02 1500 :P

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sure they have. I have done dozens of em. Use a harness and make sure to hook up the pink wire on the second harness with a + turn on wire (usually blue/white).

As stated earlier, the 15 dollar harness is the way to go, but if you insist, here is the info you asked about

Battery	ORANGE	(+)	RADIO HARNESS
Accesory	YELLOW	(+)	RADIO HARNESS

LF Speaker (+)	TAN
