Hoping to find the right tach wire for automatic starter in 2002 toyota camry. please help

just use one of the injector wires, that's usually the easiest

You can use the BLACK/ ORANGE wire found at the ECM in a 31 pin connector at pin # 5 or use the injector wire as sugegsted above.

To the right of the steering column are about four or five plugs. Find the gray plug there. There are two BLACK/ orange wires in there; the one closer to the middle is tach.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Four-cylinder Camrys can idle as high as 2200-2300 RPM when the engine is cold.

We've had a few cars come back during very cold weather, because the over-rev protection on our (Audiovox) remote starts causes the engine to shut down.

After your install is complete, start the car with the remote, and make sure you can manually rev up the engine to at least 3000 RPM, without the engine shutting down.

If your unit's over-rev protection kicks in too early, simply hold your foot on the gas so the car idles at about 1200 RPM, and reprogram tach at that speed.
