I know there is a link for the information on this but i was looking at putting my own in. I am new to this forum and I am not 100% sure if this is the right place to post. But i was just wondering if anyone could walk me through the steps of installing a car security system. I have installed subs, radios, speakers but never went this far. I do not know anything about diodes or resistors or anything like that (whether or not these apply i have no clue lol). The alarm system is being bought from a friend. It's a compuSTAR SuperHet(59). S/N is S003206 and FCC ID is O44JMR5100. There is a box with this in it-(2WSHLCD-R). Please if you can walk me through it do not assume i already know certain things. Also i do believe there is a factory alarm system. When I lock my doors there is a beep that follows. Would i have to disengage that first? Any help on doing that too would be very helpful. My friend at the time can't find the info on it but I'm sure I could find it online somewhere if needed. Thanks so much for your help!

The only advice I can give you is to obtain a wiring diagramme for your alarm, then a relevant diagramme for this vehicle, it's here under vehicle wiring, OR look at Bulldog security. Study, find all you need and TEST.
Minimum tools assuming you have drills, cutters, strippers, crimpers and small sockets for panel and (grounding) bolt removal.
Soldering iron, Scotch 33+ tape, DMM, shrink sleeving.
If this is a remote start, you will probably need at least one relay, there are THREE ignition wires on that vehicle.
