Hello,

So I want to keep the factory stereo in my 2010 Ford Escape, but want to add s subwoofer, fuzzbuster, and a few other gadgets. I erally need to find a ACC wire, but it seems to be quite elusive. I had an '08 Escape with an aftermarked stereo, but had to use a 3rd part module to get the ACC wire. Any ideas on what i can tap into for acc power?

Thanks!

The PURPLE / green wire at the ignition switch (and at the Smart Junction Box) is your accessory wire. It is a small wire, and should not be used to turn on your aftermarket stuff, but it is more than strong enough to trigger a relay.

Wire a relay like this:

Pin 30: Constant hot, from battery, fused at battery
Pin 86: PURPLE / green vehicle ignition wire
Pin 85: Ground
Pin 87: Output to your accessories/amp turn on/etc

Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
