Hi all,

I'm trying to fit an alarm to my new van and can't find the wire to connect the central locking up to the alarm, not sure if it has an alarm module or central locking control unit. Also could anyone give me some info on the where abouts of theese. Looking for the wires for the ignition, +12v and indicators. Have had a look on google to try and find some diagrams but I've had no luck so far, hope someone out there can help.

Think Renault????

Does that mean that the van has been built by Renault?

Probably, the previous Renault/Nissan/Vauxhall were all made at Luton. Just had a look on the web, I'm guessing you will need a CAN alarm else you are going to have a right nightmare. What alarm?

I've got an alarm that has a pager on it so it can tell me when it's going off, I have managed to wire most of the alarm in to the vehicle, e.g 12v, indicators and the rest that's around the steering column loom, I just can't seem to locate the central locking unit that can activate the door and maybe set the factory fitted alarm.

First question - is there a lock button on the dash or in the door that operates ALL the doors?
Still need to know what brand of alarm.

Hi yes there is a lock button on the dash which locks and unlock the van but it doesn't put the dead lock on it, so when you lock the doors with the switch you can open the doors from the inside, I thought of wiring the alarm from that point but someone could just smalsh the window and open the door from the inside, the make of the alarm that I have installed is an egalemaster E2.

If you can turn the key in the driver's door lock to get deadlocking, there's maybe a wire in the driver's door, though I think this is data.
Otherwise you will need to find a friendly dealer to tell you where the body control module is and tap the deadlock motor wire via a relay, which is what Transits and Transit connects do, hold a 3 second pulse on that wire does the deadlocking, unfortunately I've never heard of this alarm so I don't know if there are any timed aux outputs. That's why I stick to Clifford/Viper, they give me these options.

No looked at that route too, when you turn the drivers door lock it just unlocks the door and not the other doors, the alarm does have aux outputs on it which can be programmed to to several functions, so going with a relay sounds like the best option, I got the van from a main dealer but weather or not they give me the information is another thing, thanks for looking into me post and helping. I'll let you know if I get anywehre with them.
