hi all! I am requesting a wiring diagram, or more specifically; a pinout for the factory radio in a 1999.5 VW Golf mk4. Most likely it will be the same as a 2000+. The pinout that will prove to be most useful is one that contains information regarding the cd changer, as well as line ins and outs. I thank you in advance for your help!

Additional information: The factory radio is a single DIN, NON-premium head unit. In other words; there is no external amplifier. Hope this helps. Thanks again

The unamplified radios are the same for 1999 and 2000

All circuits should be verified with a digital multi-meter prior to making any connections.

Are you trying to build your own Auxillary input?  Or what are you trying to do?

Thank you for the prompt response and useful info! My goal is two-fold: (1) to build an aux input while still maintaining CD changer functionality and (2) to provide a line level feed to a subwoofer amplifier. It does not appear as though there is a line out available on the head unit, so I will most likely be using a resistor network to scale the output down to a usable level (my amp does not have hi power ins). I would appreciate any suggestions from those that have already ventured down this road. Thanks!
