I want to install a head unit out of a '93 Ford Taurus into a '84 ford E-150(van). I really need to know the pin positions on both harnesses, and the single plug between the two, or even the wire colors(I still have the harnesses with 12" of factory wire) The taurus has vol. and power buttons on the dash seperate from the head unit but still controlled it. While I am @ it I might as well ask for some help on the van too, I need to know the wire colors, + / -, l/f, r/f, l/r, r/r and etc. this info will be extremely helpful to me and most definately not be taken for granted.

The wiring on the van might be similar to the wiring in the F-series trucks of that era.  I must insist that you verify all these wires before actually making the connections, but you can use this as a starting point for testing:

F-series wiring:   https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1982-85&make=Ford&model=F%20Series&ID=17805&type=Stereo

Taurus wiring:  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1992-93&make=Ford&model=Taurus&ID=17875&type=Stereo

You would probably be better off using the Metra 71-1770 to hook in to back of the taurus radio, and then matching up its bare wire ends with the bare wire ends in Metra 70-5001 harness, which should then just plug in to the van's wiring.

Both of these harnesses can be found at most places like best buy and circuit city, and some of the smaller local stereo shops might have them as well.

esmith69 thankyou for your help w/ the wiring diagrams, however there are still three wires on the "power" harness(black, blue and lt. blue black), and one all by itself that plugs in between the "speaker" and "power" harnesses. the 93 taurus that i removed the head unit from has vol. and power controls on the dash away from the head unit, do you think these wires that are left are for that? should i disregard them and install the unit w/ the wires on the diagram? thank you once again for your help in my acheiving my factory look. its the cool people like yourself that make web sites like this one worth it! thanks again.

Glad to be of some assistance, and thanks for the kind words.  Most likely you are correct, and those extra wires are just for the controls up on the dash.  You can always tape the unused wires up and see if the thing works and if all 4 speakers work.  Also verify that it will hold the station presets in memory once the ignition is turned off.  Assuming everything functions properly, there's no need to hook anything else up, and you should be good to go.
