i plan on installing a 200amp alternator in a 1991 ford explorer 2 door manual. do i need to upgrade the OEM 4gauge charging wiring? i will be running over 100amps all the time of two way radios. i would feel better of being over wired and not under wired. better be safe then sorry.

id replace it with a o gauge wire from the alt to the battery and remember to upgrade your grounds too because u might have the pos secured but the grounnds are the most importantial in vechicles epecially fords
