Hey Guys, I am installing a remote start ( crimestopper cool start 1304DP 1way ) in an 07 Rav4 using the Fortin EVO-ALL bypass unit but cannot get the starter to engage, tried hooking 2 starter wires but once remote started the starter continues to turn over. Do I need 2 ignition wires and/or 2 starter wires? would appreciate the help if I could get a list of the wires that are absolutely necessary to be connected. The unit works when I use the idle down mode after starting with key.

Thanks

Your RAV4 has 2 Ignition wires and two Starter wires.  All must be connected.  Additionally
there are two White wires in the ignition harness, one is an IGN and the other is a Starter.  A
Digital Multi Meter or test light must be used to determine which is which.  Your remote starter
can handle only one of these wires directly, IGN2 or Starter2.  I woulde set the selectble jumper
to Starter2 and use the Pink/White wire for that .  An extra 30/40A SPDT relay with 20A inline fuse will be required for IGN2.

Wire as follows :
Relay Pin 30 to RAV4 Igniton2 wire ( Pink )
Relay Pin 86 and 87 to +12V constant thru inline fuse
Relay Pin 85 to remote start Yellow/Black wire ( Program Option 12 set to (-) Ignition )
Relay Pin 87A is not used - insulate

Also, it would be best to run in Tach Mode with the RED / White wire connected to the Gray Tach signal
wire in the OBD2 connector.  There is a procedure in the install guide to perform the Tach Learn.

Soldering is fun!
