IM hooking up a line out converter so I can keep the stock head unit... THe only reason IM asking for the colors is so I dont have to waste time doing the diagnostics

installed an rca converter ,to hu on my 2010 mustang ,wired to rear spaekers and also wired remote wire from amp to rear speakers ,my subs are cutting out when i put volume up past half way ,when i lower it they come back ,could it ne the adjustments on the converter ,the amp getting too much power and cutting out???
