I have a 1977 Cadillac Seville and I'm installing a prestige auto start system. I need to know the color codes for the wires being installed and location of each harness. This info will be surely a blessing.

Er, test?

That's what i am asking for...if you would have read the post thoroughly you'll see that I am requesting the wire colors for a 1977 Cadillac Seville, the prestige autostart is just the system that I am installing. Thanks for the so called criticism.

Not many will have any info on a vehicle of this vintage. The good thing is any vehicle of this era is very easy to test and you will not need the wiring guide. There are no electronics to worry about for this car. All of the power connections are at the steering column. The tach can be found at the distributor. The domelight (-) can be found at any courtesy light. Brake light is at the switch above the pedal. Backup light should be at the rocker panel or at the neutral safety switch. The biggest problem you will have is how you are going to actuate the choke before starting the engine.

This information is provided only as a reference.
All circuits should be verified with a digital multi-meter prior to making any connections.

Thanks 91stt for being somewhat more diplomatic, but really....
Use the factory disarm wire to activate an actuator via a relay to literally pull the throttle linkage prior to the remote start.

I already told you but since you don't appear able to understand the concept:-

There is a wire on your Prestige marked "factory disarm"  it will output a negative pulse as soon as you enable the R/S. Use as follows;

Factory disarm to relay 85.

15 amp fused constant to 86 and 87.

30 to solenoid if you use a door acuator with green and blue wires, connecty 30 to the green and ground the blue.

Door actuator to be mounted in a way that it pulls the throttle wire in, similar to a cruise control linkage.

From the tone of your questions, this is the point where you will probably decide to have this installed professionally.
