viper 5901 in 2005 chevy equinox

Evening All. I'm about half way done with the install and suffering major information overload. Trying to figure out the best way to trigger the starter. Looks like I have to wire a relay to drop power to the two accessory wires. This puts me up to five external relays(2 - locks, 2 - pass lock, 1 - accessory wire drop). Does this sound normal? Just seems like there should be a better way to handle this.

All remote starter units drop their Accessory output wire when they raise the Starter output wire.  This ignition output timing sequence happens automatically so there is no need to add any relay control to the remote starters' Accessory output.   The major issue is the remote starters timing of when it brings up the Ignition output, it must be exactly the same ( or slightly after ) the Accessory output or the car will try to start...   You should have no problems with your Viper unit.

The vehicle is fairly easy to to, with the BCM below the radio in the center console.  The only issue is if your Equinox has the factory alarm....  A bypass module like the ADS DL flashed with GM4 firmware would handle the alarm, the locks and the Passlock2, eliminating all your relays.
