I am installing a PKALL module in a 1999 Windstar. Couple questions - what are the color codes to interface the unit? Also, can it be connected under the dash or does it have to be at the ignition switch?
TX RX
Pin Color Pin Color Connector Type
Windstar 99-02 4 WHITE/ LtGreen 3 Gray/Orange A
Connector Types A and C are found 8 inches lower on PATS harness.
You can get the PATS connector under the dash by the steering column. The wire colors at
the ignition switch might be different so tag them at that connector 8 inches down the column.

Thanks for the info. Still having issues...
On the PKALL the pink wire says to connect to the ignition - would that be the WHITE/ Blue wire in the same harness as the RX/TX?
Strep 1: I hold the button | plug in the two connections | release and the light comes on.
Step 2: insert the key and turn on | wait for Alarm light to go off | remove key
Step 3: insert key and turn on (this time the PKALL flashes a lot) wait for Alarm to go off | remove key
Step 4: hold the button until it flashes - it never flashes... not sure where to go on this. Any ideas? thanks
I usually connect to the same main Ignition1 wire as the remote starter Ignition1 wire connects
to. On the 1999 Windstar it should be a WHITE/ Yellow at the ignition switch ( or just tap in
to the remote starters IGN1 wire ).
I generally use the 1100F bypass on Fords. The 1100F is less expensive and easier to work with.
Verify that all your connections are correct and well soldered.
Your Step 4 looks wrong. After you remove the ignition key the second time, just remote start
the car, no need to press the button ( unless you are following Step 8B for manual trans ).
A couple of tricks you can try when programming the PKALL.
1.) Position Connector 2 so that it is aligned but not fully inserted in Plug 2. Press the
Programming button, insert Connector 1 and very quickly insert Connector 2. Release the
Programming button as soon as the LED turns on. ( It should not be flashing. )
2.) Continue with the programming process but at Step 8 use the Manual Transmission method by
pressing and releasing the Programming Button then jumping +12 to the cars Ignition 1 wire
instead of a remote start. Watch for the 10 fast blinks.
