Hi guys! I have a 2007 Honda Civic Sedan (Auto)
I am a little confused about the bypass module, i went to a couple stores and was told that they would have to program the module in store.
I was wondering if they are right, or is it possible to purchase it from them and program it myself? (I would be using the module that doesnt require an extra key)
Thanks
Most bypass modules are programmable. If you purchase the modules that are pre-loaded with firmware, you can program the module to the car.

Some bypass modules have to be flashed with the correct firmware for your vehicle, as they can support many different firmwares and vehicles. Then they are installed in the vehicle and programmed to bypass the immobilizer ( which you can do yourself, following the supplied install guide ). For your car, modules like DEI's XK05 and iDatalink's ADS TB fall into this catagory.
However, there are bypass modules that comes pre-flashed with the specific firmware for your vehicle. All that is required is installation and programming to the vehicle. Bypass modules like DEI's PKH34 & PKALL, Fortin's Key-Override-All & Honda SL3, and iDatalink's ADS TBSL HA, ADS DLSL HA and ADS TBSL KO fall into this catagory. All of these just require installation and programming. There are some modules that do more than just bypass the immobilizer. Check out the ADS DLSL HA install guide for more info : https://www.idatalink.com/helpdesk/
