Hi, looking for help with wiring on my '01 F250, diesel, crew cab.

Putting in a viper 350 Responder. Specifically door lock/unlock wires, other wiring diagrams appreciated. I am a pro tech, just not a Ford/alarm tech!

Search in the forum comes up vague, so.

Thank you.

The door locks are either Type B (-) or Type C ( REV ) depending on whether or not the truck came with Factory
Keyless Entry.  Here is the info from Bulldog Security :

POWER LOCK         PINK / YELLOW (TYPE C)           See NOTE *1   See NOTE *1
POWER UNLOCK     PINK/LIGHT GREEN (TYPE C)   See NOTE *1   See NOTE *1

NOTE *1 Vehicles with FACTORY KEYLESS ENTRY are a TYPE "B" Door locking system, wire are located in a GREY
Molex plug on the RIGHT side of the Steering column, vehicles without FACTORY KEYLESS are a TYPE "C" Door
locking system, when doing TYPE C Locks, use the DRIVERS side SWITCH when TESTING. Wires are located in the
DRIVERS DOOR HARNESS.

Wiring Diagram for Type B :  https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#3wp
Wiring Diagram for Type C :  https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#5w

Using a DEI 451M Relay Module will make things easier.  They are currently available "OnLine" for $5, delivered.  Here is a link to the 451M install guide :  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=726

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to add it has factory keyless entry, but no security.

Factory Keyless Entry should make it easier.  Not familiar with the Viper 350 but most units can connect directly to Type B (-) vehicle lock wires.  If  the Viper has the Push / Pull ( + / - ) lock outputs, you might want to place a diode in line.
